The first stop on the tour will be the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which is the only museum in Egypt that provides a comprehensive overview of all of Egypt's different historical periods. With over 50,000 artifacts, the museum presents Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the present day.
One must-see area inside the Egyptian Civilization Museum is the Royal Mummies Hall. This section has a separate area where royal mummies from various tombs are preserved in a climate-controlled room. These mummies were mummified over 4,000 years ago, and you can see the well-preserved mummies of Kings Hatshepsut, Tuthmosis, and Ramses, among others. As you walk around leisurely, you'll be able to see these pharaohs and queens resting in peace in a room that is far removed from their original resting place.
Next, you'll visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions. Cheops is the most colossal pyramid ever built. You'll also get a close-up view of the Sphinx, a massive funeral complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of King Chephren.
Afterward, you'll travel back to your hotel in comfort. If you have extra time and want to add more to your itinerary, just let your guide know, and they will arrange it for you. Cairo has so much to see, feel, eat, and buy, so don't hesitate to ask for additional activities.
